Community Involvement
Rachel's Challenge http://www.rachelschallenge.org/LearnMore/OurMission.php
Rachel Challenge is a non-profit organization that channels resources to inspire, equip and empower every person to create a permanent positive culture change in their school, business and community by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion. Adam helps organize bringing this program to the schools of Colorado.
Darrell Scott founded the non-profit organization one month after the death of his daughter Rachel, who was the first victim of the Columbine High School shooting in 1999. Following her death, the Scott family found several of Rachel's essays and diaries, expressing her desire to make a difference in the world through compassion and kindness. For the past 12 years, Scott and other members of the Rachel's Challenge Team have traveled around the world to share Rachel's inspiring story. The program was not widely brought to Colorado as the organization was wary about giving enough time to let Colorado residents heal from the tragic event. Adam, several other community leaders and business owners came together to make this program more prevalent in Colorado.
